Our team is passionate and dedicated to the Fungi Solutions mission of creating a circular system for remediating waste through the power of mycelium. We want to create a positive impact in our community and environment and empower others to do the same.

 

Amanda Morgan
CEO | Head of Research & Development

Amanda Morgan, CEO and Co-founder of Fungi Solutions, leads R&D to address waste management and ecosystem rehabilitation through circular design. With 10 years in Mycelium Materials R&D and 8 years as a biodesign educator, she fosters collaborative partnerships to balance natural and social systems. Amanda, holds a Bachelor of Fashion Design (Hons) from RMIT University and is a current Researcher in Masters of Fashion & Textiles Technology. She has spoken at notable events like Copenhagen Fashion Summit and NGV Melbourne Now, driven by her passion to apply mycology to textile waste.

 

Camden Cooke
Founder/ Head of Production

As the Head of Production at our Mycocycling facility Camden is passionate about developing innovative solutions to scaling mycelium production, with the goal of meeting Australia’s recycling and sustainable material solution needs. Camden has exceptional attention to detail and drive to see every project delivered to the highest quality.

Emily Medbury
Advisory Board Creative Direction

Emily is responsible for all our creative needs. Utilising her experience in Creative Direction and project management. She has worked alongside our founders to establish Fungi Solutions as an accessible, engaging and innovative organisation. She has been working with Amanda over the last 7 years to build awareness and understanding around the use of applied mycology. As the Award-Winning Director of Mycelium Made (2019) and co-founder of Nicefilm.co, she brings expertise in film production and entrepreneurship.

Millie Corser

Strategic Partnerships and Business Relations

Millie excels in networking and stakeholder relations, adeptly building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, industry leaders, and partners. She identifies and leverages new opportunities for collaboration, funding, and growth, and effectively communicates company missions. Experienced in recruiting top talent through professional networks, Millie fosters a strong community around Fungi Solutions, offering valuable insights and advice. Key attributes include strong communication and interpersonal skills, expertise in long-term relationship building, and a passion for Fungi’s mission. Adaptable in dynamic environments, Millie has extensive experience managing high-level talent in Film & TV, live work, radio, and festivals, driving growth and innovation at Fungi Solutions.

Markus Body

Biotech Engineer

Graduate from VUW’s School of Biological Sciences in New Zealand, 2019: majoring in Biotechnology and minoring in New Zealand Sign Language. He synthesizes the technical and scientific, with artfully creative warmth. As Administration and Education Officer for Mind Medicine Australia (MMA). and Laboratory Manager and Head Technician for Riuwaka Research Ltd., an Ecological R&D Lab in New Zealand.

He practiced management, organic chemistry, and research skills. Worth noting that Markus wrote the entire Quality Management System and took the Lab from conception to compliance as a Certified Part 18 Hazardous Substance Lab. He managed international Hazardous Substance imports, oversaw multiple animal trials with next-generation Species-Specific toxins (synthesized and formulated in-lab) and wrote/submitted a patent.

Lilli McMahon Thompson
Biodesign Internship

Lilli is a passionate and motivated university student, currently living and learning on Woi-Warrung Land in Naarm. She is completing a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion and Textiles, Sustainable Innovation at RMIT and is committed to exploring solutions around sustainability issues within and beyond the fashion industry.
